Best Hours for Work
Weekday mornings are the quietest
Cold beer and good portions. The waitresses and service are excellent. The only decent bar in the neighborhood with reasonable prices.
Like many other workers, we spend hours in the area and end up eating or having breakfast there. In this case, the treatment was TERRIBLE. I'm gluten intolerant and I asked if they could serve me one of the sandwiches they had on my plate, or sandwiches, but without bread. The waitress replied yes, but with irony. Then, when charging me, she treated it as a plate of food, and it was ONLY a French omelet. 6.50 euros for an omelet when the price of an omelet in a sandwich is 4.40 euros and a sandwich is 3.90 euros. It makes no sense to charge more for taking away the bread. The waitress said she was following orders, but it was very rude. It's shameful to treat regular customers like that.
Typical Spanish cuisine, with well-prepared dishes, offering excellent value for money. β¬13 for the set menu (primero-segundo-postre or cafΓ©). The cocido was very good. Served on Wednesdays. A delicious comfort food π I highly recommend it. Plus, the neighborhood is nice, near the French Consulate General π«π·, Plaza ColΓ³n, and the Supreme Court.
