Casual property offering 8 warmly decorated rooms, plus a cozy cafe & breakfast....
'T Hotel is a lovely, family-owned boutique hotel in Amsterdam overlooking the canals in a quiet area just a 10-15 minute walk from Dam Square. The reception area is inside a cafe, serving delicious food and drinks, located beneath the rooms. We received a warm reception when we arrived. Our standard room was on the “first floor” which is actually at the top of 1-1/2 flights of steep, narrow stairs. There is no lift in the building so it’s probably not a good choice for anyone with limited mobility. However, the staff does assist guests in getting their baggage to and from the rooms. Our room was #3 - Keizersgracht which was much larger than it looked in online photos. The room was very clean and comfortable and includes a king size/two twin bed, a small work area with a desk and chair, and a loveseat in the sleeping area. The bed was very comfortable and two, large windows could be opened for fresh air and to enjoy the sunlight. The modern bathroom included a walk-in shower and a nice assortment of basic toiletries. A delicious breakfast of croissants, fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, juice, coffee, and more was included with our room. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend ’T Hotel unless climbing the steep, narrow stairs would be an issue for someone in your party. It's a boutique hotel with just eight rooms so make your reservation early.
We were a couple, and we thought the hotel and the people working there were fantastic. The room was cozily decorated with a theme, and the cleanliness was very good. The breakfast was very pleasant. It was a buffet, but it was served at the table, which made it feel a bit more exclusive. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of most attractions and the central station. I would gladly return here and would recommend it to others
A little gem in the heart of Amsterdam. The T‘ Hotel is located right in the city center and you can easily walk to all the sights. Right next to is, is a beautiful little restaurant and attached to the hotel is a really nice cafe. You will find so many nice restaurants / bars / shops and cafes right around the corner. The rooms are clean and decorated with character , the bed was comfy and if you prefer a more homey and family like atmosphere then I’d highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent location, right on the canal, with a very romantic atmosphere. Breakfast is included and offers a good variety of options. The couple who runs the hotel is extremely friendly and welcoming, which really adds a personal touch to the stay. We stayed in a first-floor room facing the canal, and the view was excellent. One thing to note is that room brightness—especially in summer—can be an issue, as there are no blackout curtains. Street noise, however, was well controlled and did not disturb our sleep. Important to consider: access to the first floor is via a very steep staircase with narrow steps, which could be challenging for older guests or anyone with mobility issues. Overall, the hotel offers a very good price, making it a great value option in Amsterdam.
We stayed in the family room for three nights during a heat wave. Unfortunately, the family room was in the attic (top floor) and while it was spacious and very authentically Dutch it was unbearable in terms of the heat. No AC, windows could not be opened (except for a little bit), two fans were provided and there was some kind of wall unit that only blew more hot air. We had to be out of the room by 9am otherwise we were sweating and feeling sick from the heat. We could only return to the room after dinner otherwise it was just too hot. It was unfortunate, because the location is incredible and cannot be faulted at all. It was right in amongst the heart of everything. The cafe on the ground floor is gorgeous and every morning we enjoyed the most delicious and healthy breakfast. The staff were also very friendly, helpful and welcoming. If it had not been a heatwave, we think the family room would have been great. But it is impossible to stay in the room during a heatwave. Of course, we did not think of this when we booked ahead of time from the other side of the world. So, note to self for the next visit, check that the hotel has AC! Apart from that, it is a great place to stay in a fantastic location.
