Welcome to World Work Map. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the worldworkmap.com website and related services ("Platform") operated by World Work Map ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Account Registration

  • You may need to create an account to use certain features (submitting places, writing reviews, etc.).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. User Content

Your rights

You retain ownership of all content you submit (reviews, photos, place information, etc.). By submitting content to the Platform, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating the Platform.

Content standards

You agree not to submit content that:

  • Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
  • Is defamatory, obscene, or harassing
  • Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Contains spam, advertising, or solicitations
  • Contains malware or malicious code
  • Violates any applicable law

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards and to suspend or terminate accounts of repeat violators.

4. Review Guidelines

  • Reviews must be based on genuine personal experience at the venue.
  • You may only review a venue once per visit (updated reviews are welcome).
  • Reviews must not be incentivized by the venue or any third party.
  • Venue owners may not submit reviews of their own venues.

5. Business Listings

  • Business owners may claim their listing by verifying ownership.
  • Claimed listings must be kept accurate. Deliberately misleading information (e.g., inflated WiFi speeds) will result in loss of verified status.
  • Paid features are subject to the pricing and terms described on the Platform at the time of purchase.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data without our written permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the Platform to distribute unsolicited communications

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by World Work Map and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written permission, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

  • The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any place information, reviews, or scores on the Platform.
  • We are not responsible for your experience at any venue listed on the Platform.
  • WiFi speeds, outlet availability, and other venue details may change without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, World Work Map shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with notice. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, but these Terms will continue to apply to any content you submitted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
