Café Madeleine

A classic Parisian café in a great location near La Madeleine. The terrace is lovely, especially in the morning, and it’s a nice spot to sit and people-watch with a coffee. The food is decent and very traditional French brasserie style—nothing groundbreaking, but solid and comforting. Service can be a bit hit or miss depending on how busy it is, but overall it’s a pleasant place to stop for breakfast or a casual drink if you’re in the area.

Big serving sizes and staff friendly enough a little pushy. The food was very average, chicken was dry and the pasta needed more sauce. Definitely not worth the price tag. I think it might be ok to go for a drink but I definitely wouldn’t go there to eat again.

Absolutely loved Café Madeleine! Some of the best service I’ve experienced in Paris — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was top-notch, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. A perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal while soaking in the Parisian atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff but when it comes to food, only thing I can say was good is the onion soup. For mains we had a chicken wok which was sweet like a chocolate cake, and veggie burger which was soaked in oil. French fries was over cooked so you could brake your teeth on it. Very disappointing considering it was over 40€ per person for a 2 course dinner and a coke. Even though we left 3/4 of the burger, waiter didn’t bother to ask if the meal was ok or not. They probably know what kind of food they serve so they avoid asking. In general, visit only for drinks or maybe the onion soup and avoid the rest👎👎👎
