Very unfriendly encounter. She got irritated because we pointed out (not even touching the glass) to the flavor Malaga and asked what it is. She continued speaking loudly not to point, ask or touch anything because everything is written in the front glass. Will never buy there again.

The most unfriendly and condescending person. They refuse card payments and she went on to give us a 1.5 minute lecture that there is a handwritten board placed on top of counter that we had not looked at because we were busy selecting our ice cream! Unfriendly woman! Never ever again. There are far better ones.

This ice cream shop was visited by us since 15 years ago. We hardly visit this shop anymore as the ice-cream’s quality has changed and the service was dropping tremendously. We attended the exhibition at the Galarie Frank and wanted to have some nostalgia and went there for the ice-cream. The woman staff seemed to be impatient and stated clearly to us in German with very impolite tone that “ we have to order at least 3 scopes in order to sit at the table “. There has plenty nice and great ice-cream shops around the first district. There has nothing special about this shop. Won’t recommended .

A hidden jewel of the centre of Vienna, really tasty ice cream a lot of tastes available

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST ice cream place I have seen in Vienna, nay, all of Europe, European side of Russia and the United States of America. I have tried ice cream and gelato in countless places around the northern hemisphere and have not had the pleasure of tasting the quality and bliss of Eisgrotte anywhere. The best thing about this place is their stracciatella ice cream. I don't know how they do it but it is truly unparallel. I have been a loyal costumer for many years and would recommend this place to everyone and anyone 11/10. Stop by on a hot summer day, talk to the family who run the place and buy some amazing ice cream.
