Cafe Zartl

We asked a random gentleman in a cafe where we can find a good goulash and he advised this place as a traditional restaurant/bar and we tried it. Everything was great and the waitress,Leila, was so polite, friendly and helpful.

One of my favourite cafés in Vienna. Authentic, calm, and cosy atmosphere. Perfect for lunch or for a coffee and cake in the afternoon.

This was like timejump to different era. Traditional Viennese cafe with oldfashioned interior is a nice change for all hip and modern coffeeshops. We had a Zartl Breakfast. Very tasty and my motor was running for hours with that fuel. Service were excellent. Polite and professional. And in English. 👌🏻 A place worth visiting.

Even though there is no real reception when you go in, watching the locals you should just go in and sit wherever you want. I had initially walked in and waited but then headed to the bar and asked if I can sit anywhere. Atmosphere is really cosy but also of a past era which brings its charm. The waitress was pretty cool, and even though I couldn’t communicate more than pleasantries I was able to point at the menu and have my order taken. Price was very reasonable and portions were good I can recommend the zartl breakfast. The rolls were warm and fresh. And freshly squeezed orange juice.
