I’ve been coming here on and off for several years, mostly because the location is convenient. Unfortunately my recent experiences have been disappointing enough that I feel it’s worth leaving a detailed and honest review. Yesterday I ordered an avocado BLT and received a sandwich that had some salad in it but no avocado at all. When avocado is literally in the name of the sandwich, that’s a pretty basic thing to get right. The bread itself was also quite dry, which didn’t help the overall experience. The food here is generally okay, and some of the sauces are good, but overall it often feels more processed than fresh. Considering the prices, it ends up feeling quite overpriced for what you actually get. Today the experience was worse. I ordered a coffee and it was made incorrectly. I pointed it out politely, but the replacement was also wrong. What stood out even more than the mistake was the reaction from the staff member. Instead of simply correcting the order, she responded with clear irritation, grabbed the cup back with attitude, and started arguing about it. When I said the service was poor, she simply told me to leave. That kind of reaction to a customer pointing out a simple mistake is surprising and honestly unacceptable. The coffee itself unfortunately doesn’t make up for the experience either. It’s not particularly good, and it tends to be inconsistent. The atmosphere is average. The music is often played quite loudly, which sometimes gives the impression that customers aren’t really meant to stay long. The place also doesn’t always feel as clean or well maintained as it could be. I understand that cafés get busy and mistakes happen. That’s normal. What really matters is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately the service I experienced was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. One might joke that it felt like a stereotypical café attitude, but even that shouldn’t be an excuse. After years of stopping by mainly for convenience, I unfortunately won’t be returning. Between the mediocre coffee, dry bread, overpriced food, and the rude service, there are simply better options elsewhere.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We came for lunch at 11 o'clock and I was told that they already didn't have my food (ok, it can happen). However, the biggest disappointment came after the food was delivered. My friend's meal came burnt, the bun was burnt on top and bottom, there was almost no sauce inside, so he ate a dry black bun. He ordered extra "chips" for 2 euros with his burger. Maybe there was a misunderstanding in the languages, but we expected fries, but he only got a handful of "chips" that looked like they had been poured out of a bag. The portions were small. For that price, a big mockery. It must be said as well, there were small flies flying around the table. It's hard to tell if they had or hadn't rotten fruit or vegetsbles in the kitchen for example. If we hadn't been in a hurry to visit the sights that we had booked for a specific time, we would have returned the food. We just left disappointed and hungry. We do not recommend this place! Go to your nearest market and you'll get the same thing just for smaller price and maybe with better taste.
My second time trying wild and the moon: I got the Jacks bowl, very tasty and filling despite the portions being on the smaller side. Pricing was a bit expensive in relation to the size of the meals but understandable due to the high quality and healthy ingredients. No complaints with my meal except I found the ratio of veggies to rice to be a bit off, more salad would be better - also some more mayo would have elevated the meal. The mushroom cacao latte was okay, didn’t have a very chocolatey flavour which I was hoping for, more so just tasted like almond milk - so not bad but not great either. I found the cabinet was lacking in comparison to the other stores but this could just be be because it was busy ( I was here on a Sunday ). Overall great service ( very quick ) and a good option for those looking for healthy vegan food. Would come again.
I'd like to return to be able to give a better review but for now we just stopped for a quick light bite. The bowls sound really good but we were not hungry enough so opted for the avocado toastie. It was quite bland, the spicy mayo was almost undetectable which was the main reason I chose it. Not worth the price. Clearly plant based for health, as the cleaning products in the toilet were not environmentally friendly or cruelty free/ vegan. Customers wearing fur coats is a weird one but I suppose we are in Paris, fur isn't as popular in the UK and definitely wouldn't be welcome in a vegan establishment. Staff were efficient and nice enough and they do have a great range of drinks, smoothies and fridge items, so we would return next time in Paris and try a proper meal.
I had the “pastrami sandwich”, which was good & big enough for a breakfast (in the photo you only see half of it). The hot chocolate was nothing special, I didn’t really like it. My partner ordered the “Jack’s Bowl”, which definitely looked twice as big on the photo on their website (You can compare on the photo). The bowl was basically as big as a hand and costs 13€, with most of it being rice, it was a joke. The smoothie was nothing special and came in a paper cup and not in a glass, which is a ridiculous choice for a vegan food store. Paid 45€ in total for these four items. Overall we were disappointed and will not choose wild&the moon again. Edit: just checked other reviews with the “Jack’s Bowl”. We definitely got a smaller bowl than the other reviewers from 1 year ago. So they seem to have reduced the bowl size but didn’t update the photo on their website, which is false advertisement.
