Traditional restaurant serving familiar fare in spacious surrounds with plentiful outdoor seats....
Went here twice during our holiday and couldnt recommend enough. Servers were so nice and welcoming and the food was some of the best we had. Would recommend the Mousse and Beef Stew.
Service was very bad. One specific waiter asked us to move to another table and the place was literally empty. Not to mention the disrespect. There was a trainee who was nice. Cappuccino was less than average and expensive for nothing.
Stumbled upon this restaurant liking for lunch during Christmas market tour. On a whim we chose Croque Monsieur. It was amazing! Wait staff was busy but prompt and kind especially with our lack of French. Highly recommend…especially this dish.
The Croque Monsieur was really good, the best I’ve ever had. The Mousse au Chocolat was also really really good. I loved the food, it was on point. Unfortunately, the staff wasn’t really helpful. I understand that the restaurant was busy, but they should treat all the customers equally with good service. I felt that one of the woman staff did not care to serve me at all. I asked to sit outside—no menu was given, so the other staff took charge. They forgot my dessert, and I had to ask for it twice to finally get served (even though the dessert is kept in the fridge right behind my table). I also had to ask different 3 staff for the bill to finally get the bill. Ultimately my lunch took longer time than it should’ve. All in all, the food was good but the service could be improved.
Worst restaurant experience not only in Paris, but anywhere. We were 5 adults planning to place a large order along with 2 children who are 2 years old and do not eat restaurant food. Despite this, the waiter came to give us a moral lesson because we had brought food for the toddlers. When we explained that the children cannot skip their meals and that we would have to leave if this was a problem, his response was simply “ok, tant pis,” with no effort to accommodate or show understanding. Extremely unprofessional, unwelcoming, and disappointing behavior. Definitely not a place for families, and certainly not worth the experience.
