“The bakery” down the street was full so we opted for some crepes and some local Paris vibes. Seriously, the best crepes and the cappuccinos were even better! So much fun to see the locals come in, love a great neighborhood feel. Love experiences like this. Try it!
Randomly decided to eat crepes and we were not disappointed! Ate the Nutella crepe and chocolate crepe. Both were made fresh on the spot and served warm. Super delicious!!!
Not recommend this. Randomly stopped by here whiles passing by because I thought we have to try crepes while in Paris. It was very overloaded with chicken and cheese which is a good thing but there was no flavor at all. It was very plain chicken and plain cheese. Needed some extra spices or something going on in to make it special. I think this is a stand outside some tobacco shop or something. So if you are in Paris looking for crepes, I recommend going to a place that is known for it.
If Paris were a treasure map, Tabac de la Fontaine would be that elusive X marking the spot, hidden in plain sight amidst the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Upon stumbling upon it by sheer serendipity, we found ourselves transported into a realm of culinary bliss and unexpected delights. At first glance, you might mistake it for a quaint tobacco shop, or perhaps a modest sandwich counter. But oh, dear traveller, do not be deceived by appearances! Venture inside, and you'll find yourself in the cozy embrace of a café that feels like a well-kept secret shared only among the initiated. The ambiance? Picture a charmingly shabby chic setting, where tired-looking furniture somehow manages to exude a peculiar charm. It's the kind of place where you half-expect Hemingway to saunter in, pen in hand, ready to pen his next masterpiece over a cup of espresso. But let's talk about the real star of the show: the food. With appetites primed and wallets wary of Parisian price tags, we eyed the menu board outside with cautious optimism. Omelette and chips beckoned, promising satisfaction without breaking the bank. And oh, what a revelation it was! Under the attentive gaze of Amar, our culinary maestro and purveyor of all things delicious, we were treated to a symphony of flavours that left us in a state of pure gastronomic ecstasy. Each bite of the omelette was a revelation, a harmonious blend of fluffy eggs and savoury goodness that danced on our taste buds. As we savoured every mouthful, it became abundantly clear: this was not just a meal, but a culinary epiphany. So, dear traveller, if ever you find yourself wandering the streets of Paris in search of gastronomic delight, do yourself a favour and make a pilgrimage to Tabac de la Fontaine. It may be hidden, it may be unassuming, but within its humble walls lies a world of culinary wonders waiting to be discovered.
