Absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve had in Paris — and I’ve traveled a lot. I came here expecting a charming, classic bistro experience. What I got instead was a complete disaster. The owner is unbelievably rude — shouting at his staff in front of everyone, and even insulting a nearby table of customers. His attitude was arrogant and completely unprofessional. He seemed more interested in hearing himself talk than in running a proper restaurant. The food? Mediocre at best. My pizza tasted like it came from a frozen box, and the whole place felt more like a bad tourist trap than an authentic Parisian spot. The decor is tacky, outdated, and looks like it was thrown together in a hurry — zero charm, just bad taste. This place feels like it’s run by amateurs who think being loud and rude is part of the “atmosphere.” Don’t be fooled. There are hundreds of better places to eat in Paris. Avoid at all costs. [Edit - let me please offer some help. Responding to negative reviews, especially those with a 1-star rating, is an important part of effective reputation management. A few simple steps can significantly improve your response > Acknowledgement and Apology > Offering Assistance or a Resolution > Expressing Gratitude for the Feedback > Promising Improvement > Offering a Gesture of Goodwill > Expressing Empathy and Understanding I doubt this will help though]
We came here not long after it had first opened and had a wonderful lunch. The owner, Edgar, was friendly and chatty (with perfect English too!) and the food was marvellous. Just pop in, you'll stay and you'll have a lovely time!
the owner’s behavior and lack of hospitality made it an unpleasant experience. As an Asian guest, I felt treated differently, which was disheartening. Dining out should be about enjoying good food in a welcoming environment, but I left feeling unwelcome. I hope the owner will reflect on how all guests deserve to feel respected and valued.
We recently attended what was meant to be a pleasant evening of Tibetan film screenings and mini concerts, organized by a French association. However, our experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the venue owner. His rude, disrespectful attitude was shocking; he openly shouted and berated the organizers and Tibetan guests without a hint of civility or respect. This experience left us deeply upset, as his behavior revealed a side of him that people should be aware of
My daughter and I dropped in one afternoon and had a most wonderful experience. Fresh squeezed juice, cheese and charcuterie, and the most delicious frites. The owner was our host and he was very attentive and conversational. It was lovely.
