Cold wet and unhappy until we stumbled across this little gem. They were serving Royal Cous cous and my husband loved the flavours. I wish I could cook cous cous the way they did. So light a fluffy. It is a really substantial portion. I had a vegetable soup, which was great. Really worth a visit. The loos are really nice too in
We were a group of six dining at Café Luna in Paris, and unfortunately, not a single one of us left satisfied. While the prices are relatively average for Paris, the quality of the food and overall experience was far below acceptable. Honestly, you’d be better off cooking at home or grabbing something from the frozen aisle of a supermarket. Let’s start with the service: at first glance, it seemed passable. But as the evening went on, it quickly deteriorated. Orders were mixed up, some dishes arrived without sauces or the correct sides, and no real attention was paid to how we were doing. Staff seemed overwhelmed or indifferent, and any attempts to fix the mistakes felt more like a hassle to them than part of their job. As for the food… well, the appetizers were mediocre at best. Rushed, bland, and clearly not made with care. But it was the main courses that really revealed the disaster. Two pizzas came out soggy, flavorless, and with the unmistakable texture and taste of something frozen and reheated. The meat dishes were even worse: poor quality cuts, incorrect sides, missing sauces, and most importantly, not cooked as requested. We had to send them back because the kitchen clearly doesn’t know the difference between rare and well-done. But the worst part isn’t even the wrong cooking it’s that the meat itself was just inedible. It was so chewy and tough that it was literally impossible to eat. By the end of the meal, none of us had the energy to try the desserts we just wanted to pay and leave as quickly as possible. The entire experience felt like a waste of time and money. Café Luna might look charming from the outside, but don’t be fooled. This place is all style and no substance a forgettable restaurant that doesn’t respect its customers’ expectations or palates. We won’t be coming back, and I strongly recommend you stay away.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Café de Luna in Paris, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm smiles and attentive service. They were incredibly accommodating, ensuring every part of my dining experience was flawless. I ordered the medium-rare steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The tenderness of the meat, paired with its rich, juicy flavor, made every bite melt in my mouth. It’s rare to find a steak so impeccably done, and this one exceeded all expectations. To accompany my meal, I had their in-house orange juice, and it was truly out of this world. Freshly squeezed and bursting with vibrant flavor, it was the perfect balance of sweetness and citrusy zing. It’s easily the best orange juice I’ve ever had. The true star of Café de Luna, however, is their Sri Lankan chef. This culinary magician creates dishes that are nothing short of art. His mastery of flavors and presentation is extraordinary, and each dish that came out of the kitchen was a testament to his skill and passion. He truly deserves the highest commendation for delivering such exquisite food. If you're in Paris and looking for an exceptional dining experience, Café de Luna should be at the top of your list!
We came here for brunch and the food was ok. My friend liked the dish that she ordered. I ordered a savory crepe and unfortunately didn't like it much. The hot chocolate I ordered was very nice however. Service was quick and efficient and the place was fairly cute. Overall, I'd be willing to give this another try but I'm definitely not ordering the crepe again.
The breakfast here is definitely not something to write home about. Especially in France, I won’t sugar coat it, this place is embarrassing. The orange juice tasted like it came from Minute Maid and the Crepes were rubber with Swiss cheese in them. The hot chocolate wasn’t too bad. This place is also clearly understaffed as the table next to us left early without being served. I feel bad for the one guy running it. The only thing stopping me from giving it one star is the fact that the food was edible and didn’t make me vomit. Can’t suggest you should stop here, there are definitely better options. Only half decent food here was the omelette with ham.
