We were walking to visit les invalides and it was raining heavily. We wanted to shelter and we ended up here and I was glad we did. We each enjoyed a croque madame or monsieur with french fries. The food was good and the coffee was excellent. I would recommend this Bistro if you're visiting Les Invalides, it is maybe 10 minute walk and one street behind the main street.
Such a neighborhood gem! We ate here 2 of our nights in Paris and had a lovely experience each time. The service is outstanding. The servers are so friendly, so helpful and really go out of their way to make sure you have a nice experience. We loved the food, very traditional French menu, and loved the wine selection too. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
I went there on a recomendation. And it really blew my mind. It was a beautiful corner near napoleon yard. The food was amazing. Lots of different options to choose. However I tried the duck and the omelette and it was exceptionally good. And the taste was something different. Btw. French toast hit different It was a really good experience. Highly recommend, you won't regret it.
A lovely brasserie just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. The food was tasty and portions generous, with perfectly cooked meat and crispy fries. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and fair prices for the area. A great spot to enjoy classic French dishes in the heart of Paris!
Classic Parisian Dining Near the Invalides – Au Canon des Invalides Au Canon des Invalides offers an authentic Parisian brasserie experience right in the heart of one of the city's most historic neighborhoods. Located near Les Invalides, this restaurant is perfect for those looking to enjoy traditional French cuisine in a cozy yet lively setting. I visited in the evening and ordered a few of the dishes Paris is known for: escargot, duck confit, salmon, and ratatouille. The escargot came with a delicious sauce of olives and pesto, which exceeded my expectations with its rich, aromatic flavors. The duck confit, however, fell short of what I had hoped for and felt a little underwhelming. The salmon tasted quite standard, similar to what you’d expect from other restaurants — nothing particularly surprising, but enjoyable. The ratatouille, on the other hand, gave me the feeling of a homemade meal — warm, simple, and comforting, as if it had been prepared in a French family kitchen. We dined outdoors with a view of the Eiffel Tower, which added a romantic and unforgettable touch to the experience. If you want to enjoy classic Parisian dining with iconic views, I definitely recommend Au Canon des Invalides. #ParisBrasserie #AuCanonDesInvalides #ParisFood #FrenchCuisine #Escargot #DuckConfit #Salmon #Ratatouille #EiffelView #RomanticParis
