Weekday mornings are the quietest
I came here a couple of times and loved it, coffee was great and the service was great. Today there was that Latina with a poker face that. I mean i can be getting through a rough time but why should I suffer from your misery please? Her coffee was less tasty either. Also no toilet paper!
This is an average little coffee and pasty stop close to our condo and open 24/7 (which is very nice given most cafes don’t open until 9 or 10AM here in Spain). Everything was decent. The hot chocolate and oreo cheesecake were both gotten and no complaints but just your average spot to pop in for a late night or early morning pick you up.
Best bakery in town. Really i say that because of how quick and effortless it is to order and the fact that the food is great. Nothing fancy just good breakfast foods and snacks available all day. Open 24/7 I had late night craving and went to grab food.
I visited La dona at C. de San Bernardo, 57, Centro, 28015 Madrid, Spain, hoping to enjoy a casual meal but ended up thoroughly disappointed. I ordered a sandwich with tortilla and a smoothie, expecting a blend of hearty, authentic flavors, yet both dishes were a letdown. The sandwich tasted bland and uninspired, with the tortilla failing to add any richness or character, making it evident that the ingredients were of poor quality. The smoothie, which should have been a refreshing complement, turned out to be equally tasteless and unappetizing. The negative experience wasn’t limited to the food. The service was notably unfriendly; the staff seemed disinterested and unapproachable, which only amplified the overall disappointment. Adding insult to injury, every little extra came with an additional charge—even something as basic as mayonnaise was not free. This insistence on charging for every extra detail left me questioning the value for money at this establishment. Overall, my visit to La dona was marked by mediocre food and lackluster service. It’s hard to understand how this place continues to attract customers when the quality of the meal and the overall hospitality are so severely lacking. I wouldn’t recommend La dona to anyone seeking a satisfying dining experience in Madrid.
I stayed at Flat5Madrid and got a voucher for breakfast. I really enjoyed La Donã because it is super cute and well decorated. The service was quick and efficient. The boy who prepared mu breakfest explained my options and I was very pleased with his service. I would go back, for sure.
