If you, like me, prefer a hot and generous breakfast instead of the typical a coffee/croissant Spanish breakfast, this is a great option. For around 11 β¬ you get a decent meal plus a drink. I got in right before 1pm craving breakfast and they did not disappoint. They're quick and practical and the price feels more than fair considering you're essentially on the Gran Via. I honestly can't understand people complaining about the prices when everything around is more expensive. All in, I've found a new go-to breakfast place by La Gran Via.
I stopped at this cafΓ© and I was very disappointed with my experience. I ordered a cappuccino and churros, but neither the taste nor the quality were good. The most unpleasant part: I was the only customer who was asked to pay before being served. I watched several other customers arrive after me, get served normally, and only pay when they left. It made me feel very uncomfortable, and I felt I was treated differently without any explanation. For that reason, I do not recommend this cafΓ©.
Kind of a Tourist trap. Watch out for "breakfast" pricing to get you to come in. Ordered an orange juice and was also given some potato chips (thought they were being nice). Charged me 6.50 euros at the end. But the place is modern and clean.
They offer Spaniard and American breakfasts. The food is delicous and they have tons of pastries. The service is great. They are respectful, polite, and pleasant. The staff is very patient and knowledgeable about their menu. A great bonus is that they are bilingual and communicate in English. The location is small, clean, diner/deco deor and is well lit. If you want a quick sit-down breakfast with a good taste away from the crowds, but next to La Gran VΓa, this is the place. π
Not bad but not great. Bit old and smells damp. In a touristy Γ‘rea so coffee and croissant costs 5 euros..
