Welcoming coffeehouse with handcrafted coffee, espresso & tea, plus breakfast, lunch & pastries....
I was tired after a morning travelling and working and needed coffee. Not 25ml or 50ml of coffee. A big mug of coffee. And a soft, comfy seat to ease into and enjoy it. I exited Trinity College onto Pearse Street, headed towards Pearse Station, and walked the perimeter right back round to College Green. My quest was in vain. Coffee shops, two a penny, or more accurately, espresso bars. Small, with a sprinkling of tiny stools. The few with actual chairs are full and the chairs don't look very comfortable anyway. I flagged, fearing my quest had been in vain and then... of course! Starbucks! "Venti Americano in a mug, with almond milk please", "absolutely, hot or cold almond milk?" Sweet. And I got a chair, a nice comfy chair 😊
Attempted to get in with my buggy on a quiet morning to be STARED at by two staff at the till instead of offering a helping hand. Coffee was burnt & almost thrown at me followed by a “here” by a really rude woman working the till. I assumed maybe on my way out they would recognise I needed help to get out the door, instead they went back to chatting while another customer ran to help me. Really disappointing, is being kind REALLY that hard?
Good coffee as always but this place needs toilets. Ashame they only have 1 toilet for the amount of customers passing through.
Coffee was actually great. Barista woman was rude. At first glance this looks like a large and nice Starbucks store. If you stay a bit you’ll find quite a deficiency in cleanliness. Soft chairs and sofas smell. Need a good Lysol spray down. Tables are all mucky. But the worst was the toilet. I wish I’d had my phone to take pics. MOLD growing all over a big grey waste receptacle in there. Like 4 trash cans there plus water and paper all over the floors. Thank God the water and soap worked.
Starbucks College Green is amazing! 🤩The staff are so nice, and the vibe here is absolutely brilliant! It’s right in the city center, close to the spire. Great for any tourists to come here. The iconic Trinity College is just steps away, and this Starbucks is filled with college students, I think out of all the corporate cafes such as frank and honest Centra or Insomnia in Spar, this has to be one of the best! :)
