This is no longer a cafe, just a takeaway with a single table (which we took). Staff saw us looking at menu and then looking around for the seating area shown in photos but did not tell us they had changed seating to takeaway until we asked. Ordered two pots of tea, some tea leaves escaped into the drink. No milk was served with tea and when we requested milk, we were only getting given one serving for two pots of tea! Not worth the middling price.
I've never visited a café that smelled so wonderful before! It has only one small table that you can sit but we were lucky and alone. it also has books, postcards, candles etc. that you can buy. Loved it 😊
“Pot of tea” in the menu is sold in a small takeaway paper cup that even leaks out (as in picture). When I complained to the employee, she said she didn’t give me the proper cup Bc she didn’t want to wash (the place was supposed to close in 30mins). Avoid this rude place
There is a big sign outside, that says: Buy a book & get free coffee. Well, I bought a book. Ordered a coffee, and to my surprise I had to pay for it? When I asked about the sign outside, the barista got mad at me that the sign is no longer valid... so I just got scamed? Its a nice book shop otherwise. Ps.: The coffee was also terrible.
Cool place just next to Bastion, great view and tons of interesting books. Not the cafe as we know - more of a book store (great one!) with coffee and tasty cakes to order.
