We visited Avenir last weekend and chose the 19-course tasting menu for four people. Overall, the experience was okay but below our expectations. The service was polite but somewhat lacking in attentiveness — for example, during the last three dishes I ordered an additional bottle of water that never arrived. The restaurant wasn’t very full, so it felt more like something being forgotten than overwhelmed service. Regarding the food, while the dishes were clearly well thought out and technically ambitious, we all agreed that many plates felt overworked. The balance of flavors was often lost, with some elements overpowering others instead of creating harmony. As a group, we didn’t really connect with the menu, and unfortunately, it didn’t leave us wanting more. In summary, a fair experience at a reasonable price, but we expected better flavor balance and more consistent service.

Dining at Avenir is nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is a work of art—creative, thoughtful, and bursting with flavor. The team clearly pours passion into every detail, and it shows from the very first bite. A special shout‑out to Chesco, whose wine knowledge is on another level. Just sit back and let him pair each course with the perfect glass. His selections elevate the entire meal, turning an already exceptional dinner into a truly unforgettable experience. This was hands down my best experience in Barcelona and I cannot recommend it enough. We had the lunch menu: 7 courses of pure joy and flavor. Every single dish was executed with precision and creativity, and each bite was a delight. The staff were lovely and the laid-back atmosphere made it all the more enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!

Really good food, the staff is very nice and the atmosphere is light , and not overly fancy. One nitpick i have which is honestly a basic thing is tgat we were not asked if we want water. I have to still say , the value is incredible! If it was 60% more it still woulda worth it!

This is a tasting menu in the truest sense. Every dish was full of taste and surprising combinations. The menu was different compared to other restaurants. The staff was also very welcoming. They let us taste some wine samples before choosing a bottle we liked, were always very helpful and made us feel completely comfortable. If you are looking for a place unlike any other, this is the one to go to.
