Striking 19th-century building featuring traditional Hokkien architecture & a courtyard with a pool....
Visited last January 20, 2026 (Tuesday, 10AM). It was very quiet with no other tourists around, which gave it an eerie vibe it’s an abandoned tea house after all. Entrance fee is 50 THB per person (~95 PHP). If you’re exploring Talat Noi and have extra time (and nowhere specific to go), you can drop by for a quick visit. More of a short stop than a main attraction.
I think it’s a scam. The building is in a bad condition. The scuba diving pool looks so off it doesn’t match the history. They did not put any effort into the site or explaining the history except a qr code to scan. Save your money and visit the cute cafes and shops in the direct neighbourhood instead.
If you can stand the Bangkok heat without ac and want a good place for really nice rustic photos. This is totally worth it. There's an entry fee of 50thb per person but you can use that as 50thb discount towards a drink. There's a free seats scattered mostly upstairs. The bottom floor near the pool at the other end of the house is a table with a menu and a bell. Ring the bell and place your order, don't forget to show them your ticket for the discount. The drinks are just ok but you don't come here for that. This is where people LIVE, so please remember to be RESPECTFUL. This place is mostly inaccessible to wheelchair users ♿️ 🚫
Actually this mansion is still beautiful, it must be quite majestic long time ago. But it’s in really bad shape, furthermore they store so many items on the ground floor. And there are bushes around too. I hope restoration work can be done as it’s really a waste if it’s just left like this.
A deteriorating, attractive old building where it gives mixed feeling of both mysterious and spooky too 😅 by the way, it should be taken as an ancient museum. It is good too. There is an entrance fee and can use the ticket to discount for one drink each. The drinks aren't very impressive giving the high price. It is understandable by the way since the maintenance to keep the place gorgeous must be high as well. The place is an open-air space. Giving both small shares and coffee table as well as laying down with tight style pillow as well. Customers have to take off the shoes before entering the upper floor too.
