I booked a tour with Kars for his "Chinatown Walk" in October. This photography tour exceeded my expectations. Kars the photographer was professional, offering tips on composition, camera settings, and creative techniques. I loved the places we suggested to photograph. And for an added bonus we had a smoothie at his Photohostel
Great location, great price. Room was spacious and clean. Able to add late check out which was really useful. Manager and staff were really friendly and helpful.
went to cafe - amazing food - had lasagne and small pizza. not cheap but not dear either. quality was great - one of best lasagnas we’ve had! was great! pizza was also excellent, and drinks too… highly recommended! inside talad noi, a bit tricky to find but worth it. 200m from marine ferry stop (N4)
A cute little cafe, that's located at the front of a hostel that also functions as an art gallery. We were told that the most recommended coffee here is the dirty coffee (they also mention it in their menu), but since we don't drink dairy we went for the espresso which was quite good as well. They also have a small shop as a part of the cafe, selling all types of souvenirs, pins, small cute accessories and knick knacks.
We have been coming back to the Photo Hostel & Photocafe for many years - it almost feels like home. Located in Bangkok’s old Chinatown, surrounded by traditional workshops and vibrant street life, it offers a truly authentic atmosphere. The rooms are clean and stylish, the café serves excellent food and coffee, and the staff are always welcoming. The place is run by a Dutch star photographer, which adds a creative and inspiring touch. A quiet, central, and unique spot – highly recommended.
