Pa Thong Ko Sawoei is a great little stop if you’re wandering around Bangkok Old Town. This spot is known for its crispy, freshly fried pa thong ko, perfectly golden on the outside and light inside. The pandan dip is a nice touch—fragrant, slightly sweet, and a great match with the crunchy dough. Simple, comforting, and very satisfying. Definitely worth a quick stop if you’re in the area and craving a classic Thai snack.
Quality of food, small place and no parking. Tourist can come by MRT( sub way) and walk a bit. Famous dish is Pa yong ko and Sang ka ya dip.
Very crunchy fried dough and crunchy on every bite. You can dip the dough in the pandans dip and it's an absolute guilty pleasure. Besides eating this fried dough by itself or dipping in the pandans, it is also common for Thai to dip it in the rice porridge. This Pa Thong Ko shop is one of the oldest on the city and according to the second generation owner, the palace guards would sometimes be sent out for the palace order.
It’s so crispy and airy!!! Ate it after few hours and it’s still crispy!! I think the pandan custard is the best so far 🤤🤤 50 baht a bag with pandan custard~
The fried dough is really just so-so, way too hard, too much air & oil. Didn’t come close to expectation after all the hype it got. B6/each
