We originally planned to visit the soft opening of Craft Hotel Ubud, but decided to stop by Nagi Kitchen for a quick lunch instead. It was actually our first time visiting a sushi restaurant like this. Usually, we prefer more Indonesian-style food, so we didn’t expect too much , but honestly, it didn’t disappoint at all. From the outside, my first impression was that it looked like a cute Japanese-style restaurant. You can really see that the owner put thought into the details. The Japanese vibes are there, from the garden and small patio to the hanging fabric decorations that you often see in Japanese restaurants. There are so many nice photo spots too, which I loved. Once inside, I felt there’s still a little room for improvement. The mural doesn’t quite match the overall vibe of the place. As mural artists ourselves, we couldn’t help noticing it , we feel it could blend better with the concept 😆✌️ Just a small friendly note! As for the food : the sushi, bento set, pork belly, iced ocha, and cappuccino were all really good. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. This is definitely where they shine. Just one small suggestion : my husband and I ordered at the same time, but the dishes came out separately. One plate was ready while the other hadn’t arrived yet, which felt slightly awkward. It would be better if both dishes came out together. One more note for fellow Indonesian guests : the toilet is a dry toilet and doesn’t have a jet shower, which might feel a bit uncomfortable for some of us. Overall, we truly enjoyed the food, and that’s the main reason we’re giving 5 stars. Every place has its own style and concept, and at the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference. For us, the quality of the food really stood out. Well done to the team!
Absolutely loved this place!! A true gem of a find. I'm glad that we decided to visit here. The ambience was lovely and the service was swift. Will recommend everyone to try out this place when in Ubud.
A beautiful, off-the-beaten-path Japanese restaurant in Bali with an open indoor–outdoor garden setting and a relaxed, spacious layout. There’s even a small play area for kids, which adds to the easygoing, family-friendly feel. Wine prices are surprisingly affordable, making it an even better find. While it’s known as a sushi spot, the grilled red snapper collar was the real standout—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, with spinach, garlic oil, and subtle spices, served simply with rice. Easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in Bali. A reminder that some of the most memorable meals come from unexpected places.
Great place with excellent and fast service. The staff are friendly, and the owner is very welcoming to customers. The food is delicious with a wide variety of flavors. Highly recommended and definitely worth visiting.
My fiancé and I went to Bali and stayed nearby Nagi. We ate there at least 5 times. The food is so fresh and was sooo good. We tried a lot of different things here and loved everything we got. Nagi also has a great vibe all around and the staff was super welcoming and attentive as well. We might have to go back to Bali just to go here again! 🖤🌴
