Exceptional place with the best Balinese vibes! The farm is beautiful with a great view and breeze and lots to explore. You can pick your way around the garden to bring home fresh fruit and herbs. Make sure you have time to enjoy the lunch, preferably at the upper level! You can bring home the teas from the cute little shop or (soon) through online shopping too. Highly recommended!
This facility is amazing and the community support they render by employing others is most worthy. The tea is delicious and invigorating. Please visit: you may make tea, learn about their environmentally responsible process. I strongly recommend a visit and if you cannot visit in person, support with an online order!
Had a delightful afternoon tea here. Beautiful setting and the teas and sweet/savoury treats were delicious. Staff were wonderful too. So happy to support a true local business.
I loved this place and will be back. Had the afternoon tea - and from the welcome drink, your choice of tea and delicious food (local - not english tea style) - it was great and wont need dinner tonight. Great value. And the cutest china. Very peaceful (not sure why i was only one there... crazy). And i sat and whiled away the time catching up on some phone calls. Left buying more tea and will be back next time in Ubud. Highly recommend - and supporting local!!! Little way out of the madness - i gojek there - but was a nice stroll back to central ubud.
Made Tea is such a beautiful place to visit, and they make the best tea! If you’re stopping in Ubud in Bali you have to visit! I had the pleasure of meeting Made through a consultancy project with her business, which helped me learn a lot about how the tea is made (which is very important to me as an ethical consumer) and I got to try some teas of my own! The business is ran single-handedly by a woman called Made, who I had the privilege of meeting in person twice. She has the most inspiring story of overcoming financial and cultural barriers to empower the women in her community and uplifting her family though employment! I tried at least 5 of her teas, each of which she has hand-picked and blended herself with the help of her extensive knowledge of herbalism. They taste incredible and so flavourful, nothing like anything I have ever tasted in the UK (and I am a big tea enthusiast). Each of them have a different health benefit (such as sleep or immune-boosting) and can be reused multiple times! The teas are very cheap to buy, especially given the incredibly quality of their taste. They are organic, pesticide-free, no artificial fertilisers or additives and they are all caffeine-free (which is much better for your nervous system & unwinding before bed than regular tea)! Made also runs tea-making workshops where you can meet her yourself, learn all about herbalism, explore her gardens and try some tea & authentic Balinese snacks! It makes a great day trip and I will be coming back next week to try one of the workshops myself :) This place is an absolute must-see if you enjoy tea, workshop activities and empowerment! Thank you Made for everything 🩷 You are such a kind, dedicated & inspiring person with some of the best tea-making skills I have ever seen!
