Watch out!!! And read the other reviews too! I accidentally booked a room and tried to cancel immediately. Their customer service was a disaster, rude, unhelpful, and obsessed with charging me for a room I’d never use. Even Booking.com agreed to drop all fees; all the hotel had to do was accept the cancellation, and they still refused. Truly horrible service. Worst experience ever.

Location is the selling point for this hotel. Its pretty basic but beds appeared clean and fresh towels were given daily. The only downs side to our stay was the horrific smell of the drains in the bathroom. It was over whelming to the point that we had to sleep with the sash windows wide open. Then we didnt get much sleep down to the sheer volume of noise from the main road. I requested a double room which they gave me 2 single beds pushed together, which became a nightmare when you keep falling down the middle of it! The hotel does what it needs to and reception staff were always polite. There is a tea and coffee station just next to the reception desk which is free to use, theres also a vending machine available but it is cash only. Would I return, probably not but thats not a reflection on the staff at all.

It has an old Hostel vibe. Very nice staff, great location and clean beds. However the hotel looks old and neglected. Rooms are smaller and in worse condition than in the pictures. For one person ok, for 2 it would be too tiny. My room had a window that did not close completely and pigeons making loud noises outside. Black mold in the bathroom, steep stairs, no air conditioning or wardrobe or shelf where you can put your staff. You can also hear a lot of noises from the street and other rooms. If you want something in the city Center just to sleep and don't care about noise it's ok. Otherwise choose something else.

The shower flooded bathroom. Other people's hair all over the bedding. Dirty sock in corner with dirt and dust. This hotel would not refund even a portion of our money. We could not stay in the hotel after what we saw. Expedia was of not help either.

First time in Amsterdam and stayed here from 04-07 July 2025. I selected this hotel randomly, however, next time I’m in Amsterdam, I will intentionally return to this hotel. The location is perfect for walking or taking the tram. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a smile. The gentleman working the front desk was very helpful. He gave suggestions for food and activities, which I found helpful. Even offered an umbrella during a rain storm. The room was great. Had a pigeon peek in the window a few times. Overall, I highly suggest Hotel Pagi Amsterdam!
