Great food with a calming atmosphere. Love this place.

If you want a typical Austrian restaurant where you are unapologetically mistreat and the owner still thinks he is right feel welcome to try. I was there last Saturday, brought my son only to play, and it was okay for 5€. 3 Days later on a Tuesday my wife takes my son to play there again, but this time she is told she can only let my son play if she consume something, no option to let only him play. But of course as always in Vienna people say in their stupid arrogant way. They rather to let the place empty as it is today, rather then let a baby play there (not for free).

Family friendly? Good joke! Me and my 1,5 year old son were told right at the bar,that we can not ,,just” play (it costs 5€ anyway), but the new rule is,that I HAVE TO consume something as well. Hmmm interesting… how am I supposed to enjoy my coffee when I have to be taking care of my baby? There is no mention about this new rule on the website or Google. But I was told that there is a paper on the wall 🫣🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess we will find another place to play

Can really recommend the Eggs Benedict. Good price for a nice portion. Especially loved the sauce!

Melman’s is fantastic! It was a 5 minute walk from our airbnb and SUPER kid friendly. For €5 there’s a kids play area in the back. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The server was so kind and spoke perfect English. Definitely recommend! It was a great way to start our morning.
