A great surprise — a free observation deck on top of the Leopold Museum! The views over Vienna are fantastic, and there’s even a café where you can enjoy a drink while taking it all in.

With free entry, MQ Libelle offers a view over the centre of the city of Vienna . It is located on the roof of the Leopold Museum, and is free to visit. You just need to take the glass lift to the top floor to see the beautiful terrace. It would be a great location to see the sunset in Viennaa.

I realised after a year that I lived in vienna that this terrace existed, so I decided to come and see it since it has reopened. There is a lift that takes you to the terrace, comparing to all countries I went to in Europe this is not high at all. The view is nice and it is very chill during lunch hours. If you want to come to see the view and take pictures, you need to consume and pay. Therefore, it is not free to come here but still nice if you want to visit once or haven't been to other terraces in the world. The prices here are more expensive than if you visit Hotel Armani in montenapole in Milano where celebrities go to drink coffee, or if you go to the Aperol terrace in Milano is also cheaper than this place, so on this side note it is crazy how they monetize this simple view, giving the fact that vienna is nothing compared to Milano or other major cities in Europe. Even Sky Garden in London is free and the menu is cheaper there, so if you have travelled in the world you can easily see it is made just for tourists that haven't travelled that much. The waiter was very nice, spoke English and you can also pay by card.

Great rooftop with views over all of Museumsquartier and most of Vienna's city center. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and it was almost empty, later reservations will likely be necessary. Coffee was good, and service very nice. Be aware that it does get HOT on Vienna summer days though, probably better to go at night.
