Upmarket coffeehouse serving breakfast, seasonal Viennese dishes & its renowned house tart....
Very nice inside of the cafe. All the staff are very professional and polite in their mannerisms and presentation. Had coffee and cake. Both were good and exactly what I wanted. It was a really nice, comfortable atmosphere to be able to sit and enjoy everything calmly.
The Esterházy was so buttery and not nice, and a whole group of people did not enjoy it at all. After paying the hill, we shared this feedback and the waiter went to talk to the chef and promised to come back to tell us what we can do about it but he just started to ignore us completely. We called another waiter and he was not open to change or compensation even though the dessert was almost untouched. For a hotel and cafe of such high status I believe there should be more consideration of guests’ opinions. P.s we asked for some black tea (in a teabag) and it was €11??
Food presentation is outstanding and visually impressive, but unfortunately the flavors did not fully meet our expectations. We hoped for a bit more in terms of taste. Overall, it’s an interesting dining experience, though perhaps not one we would choose regularly. The service was excellent. The staff is friendly.
I'm glad they had two vegan options for dessert. They have no vegan lunch options. The chocolate mousse is delicious. The banana muffin was overcooked and chewy. The ginger tea was 11 euros but it was a quality tea so I could see why it was more expensive. It was worth experiencing once but I wouldn't come back.
Really good Service, I know it should be expected from a hotel like this, but out of experience it's not always the case! We came spontaneous as a group of 8 people and could find a place in the bar area after waiting some time! The bar personell was friendly and welcoming! The only minus point I could say, is that I find it strange to not be able to talk the local language (German) with the waiters employees, but that is not substracted from the rating! All in all it was a really nice evening! We will come again!
