I expected more from Café Aida, since it was highly recommended on TikTok and YouTube. But when I tried the Sachertorte, you could barely taste the jam (the layer is extremely thin), the cake seemed frozen, and the Apfelstrudel was very dry. On top of that, the service didn’t feel appropriate. Making faces at a customer just because they ask to wait a moment to pay in cash doesn’t seem acceptable to me.
Good but anything crazy. I bought a Sachertorte to go (€6,30), and I’ve to say that it did not excite me. The taste is good, but the chocolate sponge cake was a bit dry, I could not taste the apricot jam inside and the chocolate coating was a bit too sweet for my taste
The cakes were delicious, and the coffee was great too 😍 Ruki was really kind and pleasant.
Fantastic! Finally, we were able to enjoy a proper coffee in Vienna! Mozart coffee was amazing and the apple cake was interesting, although we have enjoyed better apple pastries elsewhere. Congrats guys!
Aida’s cakes and coffee are consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is authentically cozy—just what you’d expect. The quality hasn’t changed over the years, which is a big plus. However, our table wasn’t properly cleaned, and the toilet definitely needs modernisation. Still, it’s a great place for a treat.
