Weekday mornings are the quietest
Such a beautiful oasis cafe in the centre of Vaclavske square but nicely hidden. All the interior is like flowers festival. Very relaxing atmosphere. Great for romantic date or girls day. But classy. The food is very good. We went for Valentine’s Day and got the flowers. The food is yummy, drinks are excellent.
The cafe is accessible from Vaclav’s square, but its entrance is not directly visible, you need to enter in the inner courtyard of the building. I went on a Wednesday, 1pm, it was not crowded at all. The staff were so polite, helpful, spoke English, elegantly dressed and friendly. The decor is very pink, mirrors, flowers, but also big indoor plants - very instagrammable, and good place for girls dressing up and photoshooting. I had tea and a dessert, with layers of walnut cream and I loved it, so delicious. It was a very pleasant surprise to find this cute corner of peace and quiet in such a busy area of Prague.
Overall an aesthetic pit-stop place to get out of the cold, they have an outdoor space as well either blankets. I enjoyed my pumpkin spice latte, but it could have used a little more pumpkin spice flavoring added in. The Americano was watery but did the trick. Overall it was ok. (Ask if there is mustard in the dish before you order it, we were surprised lol)
The place has a very nice aesthetic but unfortunately it's very dark in there, the only lights are neon signs and natural light from windows which is not so good when it's cloudy outside. When we sat down it took the staff a really long time to come and give us the menu and overall the staff was very slow unlike any other café I've been to. My friend had to cancel her order because the staff was unable to bring her an already made cake after 15 minutes since she ordered it and we needed to leave. Lemonade was great but the cake was a huge disappointment - I got the oreo cake and it tasted nothing like oreo, the only oreo thing about that was half of the cookie on top. The cake was very dry and didn't have any strong flavours. I'm very disappointed about this experience because the café looks very nice and cozy but otherwise it's very mid.
Beautiful café with dreamy aesthetics, excellent coffee, and kind service. Every corner is photo-worthy, and the vibe is calm and welcoming. A must-visit in Prague!La Peonia Café in Prague is the definition of “instagrammable”—pastel interiors, dreamy floral corners, vintage ceramics, and cozy coffee moments.
