Wish we discovered this place sooner on our trip. Great selection of teas, I had much needed pu er tea to help with my digestion. Before that, had a very nice, concentrated sherry with a slice of refreshing sponge cherry cake. We had a cake, sherry, tea, glass of red and nice hot and honeyed nuts for slightly more than ckr400. They serve food too...if only we knew, would have come here for dinner. And staff is so sweet, providing water knowing that we would need it given the wine and sherry we having, given to us without us asking, that's really thoughtful. We been hit by bad service whole day in the touristy area (paying extra for veg and stuff that should come with mains. And criticised for asking for water even though we ordered a big meal and alcohol). So this place is a god send, lifted our spirits and made us feel so much better on this trip.
Looking for an untypical bookshop–cafeteria combo? This cozy spot brings together books from small publishers, amazing ☕🍷, delicious biscuits, cakes and a few small bites. It’s a perfect place just off the city centre where you can sit, relax, recharge — and the prices are surprisingly friendly 💸💛. And if you understand Czech, you’ll enjoy their evening programme: readings, talks, various events… always something happening ✨📖🎤
A really nice bar or bookshop or restaurant or concert venue. Great selection of wines, including locals, but also some beers on tap. The menu has snacks and heartier options plus dailies and a nice selection of salty/sweet pastries. While we were there, a female trio performed folk music. The only downside is that I managed to spend more on a single book than I have spent on beer throughout the trip... But that's the life of a bookaholic.
Loved the place! Stumbled upon it when exploring the city, spent there three hours. The oat milk cacao was absolutely delicious, i was amazed and ordered another one. Again, loved the place, so warm and welcoming.
I do not know what happened to me when I was there. I had a strong familiar feeling of nostalgia, wanted to live forever in Prague to just go there every day, have a cup of coffee and read books. I go there, then get out to explore the city. But I came back to it again because I was thinking about it. But I couldn't get inside it again since I was sure I will cry. Don't know why. Most beautiful strong feelings bookstore ever seen. I hope I visit there again, talk to the kind owner.
