Very aesthetic studying friendly coffee shop, the pastries were very good :)
Picturesque cafe and bookshop with service from a counter in front and several tables running back through a deep narrow space lined by book shelves. At the back there is an entrance to a huge, diverse, trendy shop with lovely seasonal decorations that include a car in its courtyard. The store has two floors of gifts, clothes, shoes, housewares, and office trickets. It's a popular place and understandably so. The store is accessible from the street through a passage and courtyard, but has a side entrance from their lovely bookstore and cafe.
The chai latte is one of the worst I have ever had, not to mention it’s 7.5 euro One of the girl who works here was not polite neither. Toilet queue was 10mins. Would not reco.
As many other reviews have stated, the service and attitude of the waiting staff is poor. We purchased drinks only and were repeatedly told that it’s lunch time and that we needed to leave, despite the fact that there were five other empty tables around us, as well as other people who only had drinks. The older, bald headed man (possibly the manager) was exceptionally rude and was shouting at one point. I do not recommend this place
Overall a good café. I love it that it’s in a bookstore and that there’s outdoor seating in the café. The young servers were friendly and quick. I had a chai latte, which was basically good – heavy on the milk, could have been more flavorful. The croissant was good, too – though I tend to buy my breads and croissants from boulangeries rather than from cafés. I’m going to come back and try some of their breakfast offerings as well. So, basically quite good! 👌
