🎆take note that there are very limited seats in this shop - at most it’s around 12 seats total. 🎆 if you want to properly sit and chat for hours - i would recommend the other Tomo branch instead. I went to the other branch over the river before visiting to this one. this branch offers different things - they have dango, taiyaki, omurice, parfait!! - and they have the dorayakis that is available in the other branch as well. i had the citron dorayaki and the black sesame daifuku at the other branch. they’re both very good. the citron dorayaki is very refreshing - if you’re someone that doesn’t like sour flavours, this wouldn’t be something for you. they’re both very well balanced and not too sweet. for my trip to this branch, i was so bummed that i was too full to have the parfait, it looked really good 😭😭 i had just a matcha with water (Usucha) instead. it is definitely on the pricey side but thankfully, this one was very well made. The flavour profile is a bit vegetal but refreshing - especially after all the heavy French foods, it was a very nice change. i would definitely come back again for my next visit to try the parfaits!
Came in with a friend to grab something light during a non-busy time, there were only two other customers in the store. We were told it’s usually one person per order, then after sitting at a larger table we were told that if more people came in, we’d need to leave. The experience felt unwelcoming, especially given how empty the place was. When the food was served, we were only given one fork even though there were two of us. On top of that, the mochi wasn’t very good, especially for the price. Overall, disappointing.
Charging 10 euros for a lukewarm mediocre matcha latte that’s only half filled? Insane! The dorayaki tasted dry and too sweet. As someone who has traveled to Japan many times, this is pretty bad and not up to the quality I’m used to.
Lovely place that we found by accident. Nice staffs, I loved the selection of tableware (the cups, the plates…) in Japanese style, I can feel the dedication on that. The pastry and the drink was very nice (at least first through the appearance :) Caffe latte vegan was too much bitter for me and I had to ask for additional milk. I think because it’s vegan so it couldn’t reach the creamy soft taste of normal latte. Citron cake would be better if it’s less sour. Sesame cake was tasty. All the cake has the base of Dorayaki that was made live, I loved it. The parfait was a huge portion of jelly, icecream, cream, red bean…Was nice also. The space was lovely but small. We were lucky to have a table but would be better if it’s larger so could accommodate more guests.
Lovely to finally have the finest japanese (and fusion) desserts on the left bank! I tried the matcha parfait, it tasted good and not tooo sweet -they ran out of red bean paste and replaced it with other ingredients, which probably reduced the sweetness, perfect to me-. The staff was friendly and the place beautiful. There are about 6 seats in so definitely worth coming at a quiet -weekday- time if you want to sit, as the neighborhood is very busy on week ends. The parfait cost 12€, quite pricy to be honest, but it is rare to find any of the kind in Paris. They are prepared until 5:30pm so beware!
