Café Jade

Let me preface this with that i have nerve issues that sometimes makes it extremely urgent to use the bathroom and i didn't see any waiter or anyone in the bar so i went in to use the bathroom and I would have happily paid to get a soda or something small, first off they had driven a cart in front of the door to make me unable to get out and the moment I do get out three men cornered me really aggressively cussing me out for not saying hello or asking if i could use the bathroom being really rude saying things like "where do you come from to make you like this" and they went on for several minutes blocking the exit. Like guys I get it its rude but seriously chill, instant aggression is not how you treat a potential customer and it reflects really poorly on the establishment. Again I would have happily payed but there was nobody in the bar when I entered.

Please do not go to this place, even if you can’t find a table anywhere else nearby. If you don’t speak perfect French, the waiter shown in the photo is completely rude and won’t attend to you for at least 20 minutes. He blames the owner for not hiring enough staff, yet he treats the people outside perfectly well. He wasn’t only rude when taking our order, but also when we were in line to pay. I would rather go without eating than ever return to this place.

Andrea was so welcoming and made us feel so special. Great way to start the day for light breakfast.

After a long day strolling through the city, we came to Cafe Jade for dinner. There is a decent selection of meals from Burger, to Fish, and Meats. The waiter was super friendly and accommodating, which we much appreciated. We had some mocktails, salmon 🍣 with green beans, and a chocolate fondant for dessert. The atmosphere was relaxing and nice. Every place was occupied by the time we had been served - so, I do not know why the cafe has a rather low average on Google Reviews. The only criticism we (might) have is the price for the dishes and soft drinks - but this has become the norm in any restaurant everywhere in Paris now.

We absolutely enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. The vibes are great, the terrace full of people. Delicious food, complimentary bread and good service. Recommended!
