Weekday mornings are the quietest
Let’s start with the good. The sticky pudding was fantastic. A proper English steamed pudding. So the experience finished on a high. It started out fairly well too. The scones were good. Although they were served with butter and not cream. Not just not clotted cream but no cream. The tea was also very nice. These were the better parts on the visit to T’cup. The full English breakfast was terrible. I was only served one fried egg ( most photos online show two) which was cooked in a pan way too hot. The mushrooms were chewy and wet. Like they had all been chopped and sweated out an over crowded pot. But by far the worst thing was the hash brown. It was offensive. It was terrible. It tasted like it had been pre-made, frozen, then over cooked in the microwave. I can honestly say it was one of the worst things I can remember being served. I had to spit it out. The service was really friendly but far from very efficient. They did not at any stage ask how everything was or whether we were enjoying the food. And I was served a dirty knife. We also came when we it was quiet. With some attention to the food in the kitchen and little more training of the floor staff this place could certainly be worth a visit. Or just come for the sticky pudding and tea. Which was great. On a side note they are very dog friendly as well.
A very cozy place, Alice in the wonderland would be glad to sit there and finallyhave her cup of Tea. The xakes are amazing home made and very healthy. Same the selection of tea. Also the waiter is noce and very helpfull. Totally advised! PS: also the décoration for Halloween very cute
Lovely and relaxing tea salon / restaurant. First time and tested the carrot and lemon cake with espressos. Absolutely fresh, delicious and great atmosphere .
As tasty as an English breakfast in London but somehow lighter. Smiling and attentive waiters and waitresses. Cozy atmosphere different on the two floors, clean. Looking forward to an afternoon tea given the tasty desserts we had with the lunch.
This place is AMAZING! The grilled cheese sandwich is amazing, the tea is really good, and they had the best red velvet cake that I’d ever tasted. The service was also really good and professional. The building itself is really cute and creates the perfect atmosphere for a good tea date. I plan to visit this location again in the near future.
