Melané

Melané is a rare example of a place in which you can enjoy good desserts and coffee, and post perfect pictures on social media. The cakes are so beautiful and so tasty, and the place is beautifully and thoughtfuly designed. A perfect stop, just by rue Mouffetard.

Melané in the 5ᵉ is a cozy, welcoming café with a calm atmosphere. The pastries are fresh and perfectly balanced, and the matcha latte is rich, authentic, and not overly sweet. It’s also very dog-friendly, with an adorable dog in the café that makes the place feel even warmer. A lovely spot in the Latin Quarter.

If you’re looking for something truly special, this cafe is a must.😏 I tried the banana misutgaru, and honestly… how is this even legal? I’ve always loved traditional misutgaru, but adding banana cream on top? I had no idea what to expect. It turns out the absolute perfection. It’s rich, comforting, and dangerously addictive. The yuzu sorbet ade was icy, zesty, and refreshing. It's even better knowing the yuzu syrup is homemade. You can really taste the care in it.🥰 My favorite surprise was the warm sujeonggwa. It reminded me of mulled wine, but with a distinctly Korean soul. You usually need to seek out traditional cafés in Korea to find this, so having it here felt like a gift. 🩷 I’ve only been here once, but I’m already a regular. They recommended the mugwort latte for my next visit!! and yes, I’ll absolutely be back before my trip ends. This place feels like a hidden gem you almost don’t want to share.👍👍👍

Such a cute coffee shop ☕ The people are very welcoming, and the mango cake is honestly the best 🍰 The latte is very, very good (and the coffee too!) and the sweet dog makes the place even more special. Highly recommend!
