How much can a slice of cake π° cost in Paris π«π·? That depends, you'll answer. And you're probably right. So many factors have to be taken into account: the size of the slice, the type of cake, the place where you have it, who baked it... But there should be limits. π Does a pedestrial alley in the city center add value? Yes. π Does a cute venue add value? Yes (but there are so many nowadays). π But do these factors justify paying β¬10 for a slice of an average sized lemon meringue pie? Especially if the meringue crunches on the top, the presentation is average at most and the service is kinda slow? No. π That's more than what I would pay for an individual cake at Yann Couvreur's, for instance (and that pie wasn't baked by Yann Couvreur or anyone in his team). π³ That pie was good but became kinda bitter when I saw the bill. Bill where I could see that the lemonade cost around β¬8 too. π‘ You can't pay β¬18 for an afternoon snack. That's just too much. π . . . Very cozy, nice coffee, great service. All good. I recommend with my eyes closed. Ah i forgot, cute coffee art
Restful tea room in quiet, beautiful passage Dauphine, away from Left Bank traffic and crowds. Family-run for decades, everything homemade and fantastic. Generous, delicious cakes, cider recommended. Savory dishes served too, interesting trio of quiches and salad. Perfect to grab a quality bite and relax before going on the town again!
Cozy quiet peaceful. Very friendly staff and delicious tea, salads, and dessert.
What a lovely place. We were tourists looking for beignets and put the wrong place in our phones. What a wonderful mistake to make. Staff was super attentive and incredibly friendly. He spoke good English and was very welcoming. Menu was in French but he was so nice to help us translate. Their food is all homemade and AMAZING. If you're looking to accidentally snuggle into peaceful serene little environment, this is the place for you.
