I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant, the food and the service. Tanguay (our server) was so nice and accommodating (we arrived almost an hour early for our reservation by accident) and he was so sweet helping my mom to the table! His service was amazing, and prompt! The food was delicious, and of course we all shared a Matilda Cake for dessert! It was spectacular! What a perfect way to finish our last day in Paris! I highly recommend this restaurant! There was no kids menu, so probably not the best place for picky eaters. We took our kids, 8 & 12, and they are less picky than most kids, so they were able to find a dish that they enjoyed.
This place was absolutely magical. I decided to try being maximally French to end my week in Paris, and this was a fantastic choice. I tried escargot for the first time and loved it. Their chicken cordon bleu was superb and the side of green beans were the best preparation of green beans I’ve ever had. I had to steel myself for a dessert at this point, but it was so worth it. Their crousti-choco very well may have been the best dessert I’ve ever had. It’s tragic that they weren’t more specific on their menu so that I could recreate it myself once I leave. It’s pretty much a chocolate cake, covered in a transcendent paste resembling a praline, covered in a wonderful chocolate mousse, covered in whipped cream. This was absolutely the best place to end my week in Paris, and I hope you choose to as well!
The brasserie was super nice, it is my second time there! Jay is amazing and super friendly !! We ordered the famous burger with sauce, Steak "Piece du boucher" and Mathilda Cake.. - The burgers were good! - Piece du boucher wasn't good at all, very hard and chewy. (Not recommende) - The Mathilda Cake super good!
Visited Le Nestlé Brasserie (Saint-Germain-des-Prés) recently and had a pleasant experience overall. We tried the steak-frites, mini burgers, and the dynamite shrimp. The burgers were definitely the highlight for me — flavorful, juicy, and perfectly sized for sharing. The dynamite shrimp were also very tasty, with a nice balance of crunch and spice. The steak-frites were good, though not my personal favorite compared to the other dishes. For dessert, we ordered the famous Mathilda cake, a rich chocolate cake that is opened at the table and filled with melted chocolate — very impressive and delicious, but honestly quite heavy and easily enough for more than two people! Overall, a nice brasserie atmosphere with good food.
Friendly and welcoming staff with an attentive waiter. Had the salmon brioche and focaccia for starters which were good portions and very tasty. For mains had the fish tacos and sausage & mash. Again good portion sizes, although perhaps could have done with one more piece of fish, but still both were very tasty. Mainly came here for the Matilda cake which I have wanted to try for years so expectations were high. Am glad to say it did not disappoint, from the moist sponge, big size, not being too sweet and warm sauce this was the highlight of the meal. Their other desserts also sound very nice. Recommend and will come back again when next in Paris.
