We were staying in a nearby hotel and wanted somewhere local to go for dinner on our first night in Paris. This was only a couple of minutes walk away. It was lovely. Really friendly welcome and great service from the wonderful staff. Food was simple but really well done. Lovely steak. It had a simple and local feel and we were surrounded by locals only. Great, friendly place to eat and enjoy a beer.
Great location to soak some wonderful views in the sunshine βοΈ Always full and packed with the vibes! Sitting outside was wonderful sipping on the tea and watching the life go by!
Had a great time here. Food was fast, service was efficient. Florian is very friendly and explained the menu items we were ordering. We had croque Madame and poulet with rice, croutons and sauce. Generous servings. And the place is more than a century old already. Itβs Halloween and they are giving out candy too.
Great croissant π₯ and the Espresso was excellent π We will be back for sure..
Stopped here for a quick, light bite. The servers weren't very nice, somewhat rude. The atmosphere is like many Paris bistros outdoors, except this one at the corner and with the familiarity of the servers seemed to welcome several men to gather and stand just to chat and smoke... Which was unwelcome for me as a diner. The servers went out and chatted and smoked with them (all three I saw). This was maddening. The Butternut Squash Soup was actually less sweet than I'm used to, but was very good, with croutons and nuts. Tasty. The falafel wasn't really good. We tried to like it. My friend's chicken spring rolls she said were very good... I didn't taste them. I also like the frites de maison (house fries). They could have been hotter and they were what Americans would call the last of the bag... But they were also tasty. She also enjoyed her wine, which she'd been looking for the whole time we were in Paris and this was the only place that carried it.
