When it comes to Cafes in Trocadero, this is must visit. It is the only one with a view of the Eiffel tower, the menu is excellent, try any of the classic French fair as well as items like the thai chicken salad, it's one of the best chicken salads I have ever had. It may be in as touristy of an area you can be in Paris but the food is excellent and for an insider tip, don't buy wine by the glass, buy a bottle or rose at very affordable prices and save a ton on your alcohol bill. Also remember, in Paris, a 5% tip is the customary rate. 5% in Paris is like 20% in the US.
