Traditional bistro fare served morning-to-night in an intimate space with sidewalk tables....
Le Petit Opportun serves fake pints through purposefully confusing beer glasses. They make you pay for 50cl when in fact they pour less than 40cl. Also, if you are not careful, they will make sure to make you pay full price, even during the "happy hour". Scam to absolutely avoid.
Great place go eat something! Fast accurate service. The food were delicious. Fair price, great place!
We had one full day to spend in Paris and needed a place to get our initial fuel close to our hotel. Le Petit Opportun was the only spot open in our neighborhood. They served coffee and croissants so it was a go! They offer a set breakfast special menu but we opted to roll our own as we didn't want everything offered in that. I had a double espresso. It looked and tasted good. Paired it with a pain au chocolat which was about as legit as you could get in France. My son had one too and got himself a latte which he also thought was really good. Service was good and friendly. We wish the people sitting at the nearby table weren't smoking as that's always a distraction from enjoying where you are if you're not a smoker. It's a small place super close to a Chatelet Metro entrance so convenient to start there and go, literally, anywhere else in Paris.
So nice, friendly and sweet place! The food was extremely delicious. THE BEST onion soup in town! For the first time I ate french food with such appetite! The prices are more than good. The service was very nice. Definitely recommend.
I had breakfast 3 times here on my trip. Get the quiche if Marcel has made it (day before prep), or just a full breakfast if they don't have any. The eggs are fluffy, the bread is warm, the croissant is perfect, and the OJ is fresh. Here's the trick on this place, France is on Mexico time. No rush, hang out, relax, enjoy your meal, take your time, and this place leans into that more than any other. The fellas working are great, they treated me like a regular from day 1, I do miss it.
