Le Friedland

Got my caramel macchiato today, really enjoyed it. Beautiful sits outside to stay after the long walk in central. Stuff speaks English and I had no problem getting the food and drinks.

We visited Paris on July 14th and were very hungry, so we decided to visit this place as it was near our next destination. The waiter quickly placed us and was welcoming, even though we were a large group of 8 he managed to find us a table in no time. He kindly provided us an english menu, too. The food itself was not really our taste, however. We ordered the beef steak with fries, the chicken breast, the cheeseburger, the chicken burger and the fish and chips and the ravioli. Almost each dish came with fries - they tasted old, like they were bathing in oil for too long. Our kids are usually not picky eaters and love fries, they did not enjoy them but because they were so hungry they ate most of it anyway. The beef steaks weren’t what we expected - we ordered it in medium and working through it with the knife was tough. The chicken breast was dry. The chickenburger was alright but the cheesburger with the beef patty tasted gamey - thats was not enjoyable, unfortunately. Overall, we felt welcomed bc of the friendly staff - we would not come back for the food though.

The staff was so nice with us, I had lunch and the service was very fast and the meal : delicious ! A perfect place for something simple, soothing and well placed in Paris. Thank you Baptiste and Margaux for welcoming us !

The staff were rude to tourists, avoid this place if you want to stay happy, positive and love the Paris. We left after waitress who said that to drink coffe is allowed only outside bc inside is full of clients (was only 1person there) and we were waiting here 10min to come accept the order. Its nice to leave this kind of place with smile :)

Nice bistro, good food (unusual croque madame) and service. Seats are really tightly packed in so very cosy!!
