We happened upon Le Campanella on our first day in Paris, just after dropping our bags at our hotel. As Americans knowing very little French, we were trying to figure out what to order when Patrick, the owner, introduced himself from behind the bar. He was so warm and welcoming and ordered us up the most incredible breakfast of eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, cappuccinos, and bread with butter and marmalade. As we ate, Patrick chatted with us and gave us recommendations for where to visit (we went to them all and none disappointed). Our experience was so wonderful that we returned for dinner on our last night and stopped in for an espresso before our flight home. Patrick, as well as all the servers we met, made our first moments in Paris feel so special. Do not miss Le Campanella on your trip!
I entered this place by chance, and I was so lucky to have bumped into it. I got the onion soup, and I was amazed by it. The taste was great, and the portion is enough for it to serve as a whole dinner for me. The duck leg was decent and filling. The waitress that served me was very pleasant and quick, and the place looks nice, even though the tables are small and it can feel a bit cramped.
The decor, the service, the food: chefs kiss. 💋 We ordered the escargot, French onion soup and the duck confit. Everything was really good, but the duck confit stuck out the most. The meat was so flavorful and the potatoes that came with it were garlic buttery. Would definitely come back for that over and over!
Amazing place to eat, drink and chat. Lovely atmosphere and great attentive staff. Food is delicious, very tasteful decor just the full package when it comes to evening dinning. We also got spoiled with a live singing performance Just a 7 minute stroll to the Eiffel Tower so a great meeting point before or after your site seeings of the day Big thank you to our waiter for making it very easy, enjoyable and smooth. Nothing was a problem and he couldn’t do anymore, cheers John
How to choose a place to have a nice French cuisine experience, among so many options ? How to avoid the trap of very touristic options where quality is compromised? If you are at the 7e Arrondissement ( close to Champ-de-Mars) you will not regret to try Le Campanella. A small typical brasserie, full of locals, offering a menu of classic French dishes, competently prepared to almost perfection.
