Paved open space anchored by a military monument & known for its dramatic views of the Eiffel Tower....
If you want an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower, Place du Trocadéro is the spot. The view is absolutely iconic. It can get very crowded on weekends though, so I’d recommend going in the evening on a weekday, fewer people and brighter sparkles✨Totally worth it!
The view is awesome. You can have a great angle of Eiffel tower if you take a photo of it. It's always beautiful!! We didn't go up to the tower but it is free to walk around Trocadero, the Jardin de la Tour Eiffel and Champ de Mars. The garden is nice and enormous. This place is the most beautiful that I have even been!
Free entry & access: The esplanade, gardens and piazza are public and free to enter (the Palais de Chaillot museums are ticketed). • What & why go: Trocadéro (the esplanade above the Seine) gives one of the city’s most famous framed views of the Eiffel Tower across the Champ-de-Mars; the site includes the Palais de Chaillot, fountains, sculptures and formal gardens. • Top features to see: The broad Esplanade du Trocadéro, the Warsaw Fountain and cascading pools, sculptures and the Palais de Chaillot (home to museums of architecture, anthropology and maritime history). • Getting there: Closest Metro is Trocadéro (Lines 6 & 9); buses and short walks from nearby stops (or cross the Seine from Pont d’Iéna/Champ-de-Mars). • Best time for photos & crowds: Sunrise or early morning gives the softest light and far fewer people — golden hour and late evening (for the Tower’s sparkle) are dramatic but very busy. For quiet photos aim to arrive within ~30 minutes of sunrise. • Visitor flow & handy route: Stroll the Jardins du Trocadéro down the steps toward the fountains, then continue across Pont d’Iéna to the Champ-de-Mars for up-close Tower photos — or loop to Pont de Bir-Hakeim for a different angle. --- ⚠️ What to keep in mind • Crowds & timing: Weekends, holidays and summer evenings are the busiest — expect throngs at sunset and during the Tower’s hourly light show. Arrive early for calmer views. • Museums & facilities have hours: The Palais de Chaillot houses ticketed museums (check each museum’s opening times before planning an interior visit). • Photo logistics: The best framed shot needs dead-on alignment from the esplanade steps — step back and centre yourself for the classic composition. • Events & closures: Large events, filming or official ceremonies can alter access to parts of the esplanade — check local notices if you’re visiting for a time-sensitive shoot.
Place du Trocadéro offers one of the most stunning views of the Eiffel Tower. The wide open space, fountains, and elegant architecture create a truly magical atmosphere, especially at sunrise or sunset. It’s a perfect spot for photos, relaxing, and soaking in the beauty of Paris. An iconic and unforgettable place to visit!
Best views of the Eiffel Tower. The square has a few nice cafe’s. Some of them you have to wait a bit to get a table but it’s totally worth the view . The less insta famous ones you can just get a table upon arrival. On the right side of Trocadéro there’s a path in between the trees where you have amazing views from the Eiffel tower- recommendable
