Brasserie with sidewalk seating near Place du Trocadero, for classic French mains & cheese plates....
I don’t know why the review was so low. The food is not top-notch but nice. The waiters are nice, cheerful, and responsive. It has a beautiful view and is less crowded than Café Carette, which is just next to it. The seat was comfortable.
Very disappointing experience. We came in, placed an order for around €100 and simply wanted to eat and leave. After ordering, I politely asked if I could charge my phone for a short time, as it was at 1%. I even offered to leave it with the staff behind the counter. They refused, saying they were concerned that a client might occupy the table longer than necessary. The waiter had to ask the manager, who personally declined. This is not customer-oriented service. As for the food, I ordered a ribeye medium well, but it was served rare and extremely undercooked. I informed them that I was unhappy, especially since I was hungry and had clearly specified the cooking level. They said there was nothing they could do. Overall, very poor service attitude and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place.
Was very busy but they squeezed us in. The waiter was very polite and spoke perfect English. The omelette was very oily and the chips were extremely soggy. The sandwich was good. Though very convenient lunch spot next to such a touristic spot
My husband and I stopped here for dinner while visiting the area. We were sat pretty quickly on a Sunday evening. We actually had to sit inside and we were very comfortable there. We actually had several different servers so not sure if that is the norm here or if they were just that busy. My husband ordered the steak and I ordered the fish and we were both happy with our choices. The flavors were there and the portions were more than what we could eat. The prices fair for the amount and quality that you get. We would recommend and would go back while visiting the area.
The cafe seems like most cafes in Paris that are art Deco in style low soft lighting and very relaxed atmosphere. We had no reservation walked in at lunch time and had the formule express which is excellent value. Started with egg mayonnaise which was light tangy very tasty. The beef was medium rare and soft, tender easy to cut and not chewy. The dessert was a chocolate moose. Our waiter was great sat us down quickly no fussing asked if we wanted to sit elsewhere gave us time to order and even joked about ordering off the kids menu for a 21 Yr old 😀 then at the end brought out a cornett ice cream for the kid sorry I didn't catch his name but he elevated the dining experience. Overall I would recommend eating here.
