Super friendly staff , very welcoming ambience , and great lay out for seating where you can enjoy amazing coffee in a peaceful setting . Well recommended !
Amazing customer service! I accidentally ordered my drink dirty meaning with two espresso shots but I can’t drink espresso without my heart racing and they remade my drink without any issues.
I paid €11.40 for a hot chocolate and a cookie at this café. Shortly after sitting down, I was informed that the use of laptops is not allowed on weekends. I clearly stated that I would leave within 30 minutes, which I did. Despite this, the rule was enforced without any flexibility, unnecessarily restricting a paying customer’s personal choice in how to quietly use their time and space. Two hours later, while walking past the café, I noticed another woman comfortably using her laptop inside, which suggests that this policy is selectively and inconsistently applied. At these prices, one expects a basic level of courtesy, consistency, and respect for customers’ personal choices. Hospitality should be about judgment and fairness, not arbitrary rules
Lactem is such a charming little café, beautifully designed and perfectly tucked away near the Royal gardens. We tried the iced matcha with seasonal fruit (strawberry) and the lemonade matcha - both super refreshing and delicious. Great vibes, lovely staff, and an ideal stop for a stylish break in the city.
I really loved this place. Such a nice atmosphere. I had the iced matcha soy latte, and while I initially thought it was expensive at €7.60, it turned out to be HUGE, so the price felt fair considering the quantity. I even ended up taking the rest to go since we had to leave. Both of my friends had coffee lattes, and they enjoyed both the coffee and the cookies. They also offer a great variety of milk options: regular, coconut, soy, almond, and oat ,which is always a plus. As for the matcha quality, although the color was a bit off (not the vibrant green you typically expect), I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It had no added sugar, was well-balanced, with no bitterness, and you could really taste the umami. I’d say the matcha quality is good, perhaps it was just stored improperly, which could explain the dull color due to oxidation. Still, the flavor remained intact, which is what matters most.
