Not Worth the €21 We ordered two cappuccinos, a chocolate beignet, and a slice of pistachio cake, which came to €21. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the price or the location. From ordering to receiving our items, the process was surprisingly slow, despite the café being set up for high foot traffic. The baked goods were disappointing, very doughy and lacking flavour and the cappuccinos were served lukewarm rather than hot. For a coffee shop in such a busy, central area, and at these prices, hot coffee and better quality pastries feel like a very basic expectation. Overall, the experience didn’t justify the cost, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
CASHIER WAS DISHONEST. she didn’t give me the exact change in cash, she just said she don’t have enough change and she didn’t tell me how much are my items.. HOW CAN 6 pastries be $40Euro?! I realise i was charged more after checking the menu prices from their review! Very disappointed, ruin the experience no matter how the bakery taste ):
I cannot express how much I adore this place. I went FIVE times on my trip. As a gluten free person, this was like a paradise. Everything tasted so amazing. Actually, the best thing I’ve EVER tasted, gf or not. I’m still thinking about the pastries. I even went the morning of my flight and brought some on the plane home. It may be a little pricey yes, but worth every penny.
It's a vegan bakery. I had a good memory of gluten-free bread because I could experience gluten-free for the first time at Copains. The boss's response was kind, and I'm satisfied with everything, including the taste of the bread he recommended. Personally, the bread with pistachios was the best, and my wife likes cinnamon rolls the most.
Service was wonderful. The woman who helped me was patient and thorough in explaining the selections for me to choose. The presentation was great. I tried the carrot cake and flan. The carrot cake was not as sweet of a cake as I am used to in the US. It was also dry. The flan was amazing. My mind compared it to cheesecake, but I was informed it was heavier and paired well with the gluten-free bread. It was delicious. I am so grateful for the gluten-free experience.
