This place was so good we went twice during our week in Paris. The sandwich was fresh with delicious ingredients. It’s not fancy, but it is charming. A hot spot for a quick lunch or drink. The views and people watching is second to none. A great hidden spot.
On a delightful evening in May, my friend and I stumbled upon the charming Chez Daniel while strolling along the Seine in Parc Rives De Seine. This quaint bar area, with its enchanting setup right by the river, instantly drew us in with its laid-back ambiance and the gentle hum of music in the background. Chez Daniel is the epitome of a Parisian hideaway, where small tables dot the embankment, offering a picturesque setting that feels straight out of a romantic movie. The atmosphere is casually romantic, ideal for whiling away the hours under the soft glow of street lamps reflecting off the water. As we settled in, the small crowd around us seemed to blend into the background, creating an intimate space despite being in the open air. The music, not too loud yet lively enough, added a joyful note to the air, making our impromptu visit feel like a serendipitous escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Sitting there, sipping on drinks and chatting, time seemed to slow down. Chez Daniel provided us with a perfect, picturesque spot to soak in the beauty of Paris by night. It's a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for a romantic nook to enjoy good company and the enchanting scenery of the Seine. Whether you're looking for a spot to start a night out or a cozy corner to cap off your evening, Chez Daniel offers a magical riverside experience that captures the heart of Parisian charm.
A charming spot by the river that has a cute vibe and views. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the staff’s unfriendliness. Despite my efforts to speak French—like attempting to pronounce "apricot" correctly and asking for everything in French—their reaction was quite dismissive. The staff member made a disapproving face and turned his back to me without a word of thanks or goodbye, even after I expressed my gratitude in French. It was disheartening, especially since I really wanted to embrace the local culture. While the location is lovely, the lack of warmth from the staff was disappointing. I hope they can work on creating a more welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
Can’t beat the view (many tables are right on the river bank) and the prices. Nothing fancy but location, location, location. A big decision on my note is also the price which is very competitive for drinks as well as food. They had fresh oysters which was nice but these will be gone in June and back around October.
Excellent place to grab a drink, exactly on the river bank. Many beers on tap, fast service (line to bar). Can purchase crisps/snacks but no full menu. Perfect views of the river and shores.
