Classic steaks, snails & wines at a lively corner bistro with sidewalk tables near the Louvre....
Had a really great experience at Café Palais Royal. We ordered the truffle pasta and the beef tartare with roasted potatoes and eggs, both were excellent. The truffle pasta was rich and perfectly balanced, and the beef tartare was super fresh and high quality. As someone who follows a fitness lifestyle and prefers eating clean, it’s often hard to find good options when eating out. So I really appreciated that the menu offered something simple, high-quality, and protein-focused without feeling heavy or overly processed. It’s not always easy to stay on track while traveling, but this place made it effortless. The atmosphere is very Parisian, casual, but the place was very full. The tables are really close together and very small (typical Paris). The overall experience felt relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a spot I’d return to when in Paris.
One of the best cafés/brasseries we visited. We stopped in on our way back from the Louvre, hungry and in need of some water. Despite being busy, they managed to fit us in without fuss. Service was fast and genuinely friendly, and the food hit the spot perfectly. We’d happily return if we had more time.
27 years ago on my first trip to Paris I found this little gem of a bistro at 6 am. I went inside and ordered what would be the best croissant I've ever had. 27 years later I returned to Paris with my wife and for our very first stop I had to take her back and share this with her. Nothing has changed, and I was so happy to be there again! This time I ordered breakfast and it was fantastic. And the people there are so incredibly friendly. The food was excellent, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is so quintessentially Paris. We're leaving today but I had to stop in for a to go order and say "Until next time!' to my favorite bistro!
Stopped into Café Palais Royal while rushing to a museum tour, and I’m so glad we did. The service was quick, and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I grabbed an espresso and a ham and cheese 🥐 both were delicious and exactly what I needed before the tour. A great spot for a tasty, efficient bite!
Very rude staff, after visiting the museum. We stopped by for Lunch, they try to get you to sit with their sweet tongues. But once you sit, nobody gives a shit, you keep waiting for long, then a rude wiater comes to take you order. He is impolite and rude. I don't want to mention the waiter description but he is one of the staff. I tried to use the toilet but there were no toilet papers. And there was a waiting line because there was only one bathroom. I would execuse them for the bathroom thing but not for the impoliteness. The food was ok, like 7/10, made in a hurry and not made for quality, picture below. I don't recommend it so your mode doesn't get ruined for the rest of the day.
