Traditional dishes like escargots & ratatouille in a warm, low-key restaurant with terrace seating....
We couldn't recommend this place higher. We decided to go here after our Louvre visit and we were starving. We had coq-au-vin and the steak but the main highlight were the mashed potatoes that came with the steak. They were easily the best we had during our stay in Paris. Extra points go the staff which were friendly, attentive and funny.
We arrived at 6pm on the 26th December and were greeted with a warm welcome. There was only one receptionist/ waitress working but she still managed to keep every guest happy. Food was great. We ordered ratatouille and escargot for a light afternoon tea.
We had a great meal here. The mashed potatoes were especially tasty, and the meat was tender and cooked exactly as we wanted. It was quiet when we visited, which made the lunch calm and enjoyable despite the busy location. Prices are reasonable, around €20–€25 for a main dish. Service was friendly and polite. The atmosphere was good. Overall, one of our best lunch experiences in Paris.
I recently visited Louse Café in Paris and left with mixed feelings. I ordered pasta, but unfortunately it wasn’t cooked al dente, which made the dish less enjoyable than expected. For dessert, I tried the French toast, hoping for something warm and comforting, but it also fell short — it was quite soggy and didn’t have the texture or flavor I was looking forward to. The place itself has potential, but based on my experience, the food didn’t quite meet the mark. Hopefully they can improve the execution
Had the best experience and food at Louise. Workers were super nice and welcoming. We ordered escargots, it was delicious. Along with their lobster tomato soup. Then after we got the lobster salad and mash potato’s and lamb? I think. Escargots were great. Staple in French cuisine. Would pass on tomato soup. It was just tomato soup, with barely any taste of lobster. Lobster salad was alright, sauce was questionable. And mash potato’s and lamb was great. Lamb was fall off the bone. Loved their mash. Workers were super nice and would come back here next time. Food and atmosphere was delicious compared to other foods we’ve had in Paris
