Café Joyeux

We stopped in to check out their inclusive cafe concept. The coffee and food were excellent. We would recommend to others looking for a break from the usual crowded cafes in Paris. This cafe is clean, bright and spacious.

I love this place and their coffee. What i like most is their social engagement. Don’t go there when you’re rushed, take your time. Enjoy.

We visited today because it was recommended as a specialty coffee shop. We often go to places that treat coffee like wine—importing beans from all over the world and preparing it with great care, resulting in something truly special. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The coffee was among the worst we have ever had in Paris in my 41 years of living here—honestly worse than what you’d get in a basic bistro. That said, the place itself is wonderful. It has a warm atmosphere and employs people with disabilities, which is truly heartwarming and admirable. For that reason, we really wanted to love it. But the coffee is the foundation of a specialty café, and here it was simply terrible. I sincerely hope they make an effort to improve the quality of their coffee, because the concept and atmosphere deserve so much better.

This is an excellent concept that should be replicated across every city. In essence, they are an inclusive workplace that employs individuals with disabilities. The staff were nice, service was quick and efficient. The food was also good. Overall this place is highly recommended, they have lovely outdoor seating for when the weather is nice!
