Old-school spot serving poke bowls & pasta, plus classic local dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner....
We had the most amazing time at this restaurant! All of my friends came together, and it honestly could not have been a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was so cute and welcoming the atmosphere made it perfect for hanging out and celebrating together. We ordered so many big meals, and everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and every dish was packed with flavor. They also kept the bread coming, which we loved such a simple touch, but it made the meal even better! The staff was so kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed the whole time. We felt so taken care of. We had the best time, ate amazing food, and made the best memories. We love this place so much and can’t wait to come back! 💛✨
I stopped here randomly on my last night in Paris. I had a nice solo seat in the corner and was able to enjoy my meal and people watch. I ordered the French onion soup as well as the baked chicken and a small carafe of wine (we definitely need this option in the US) The soup was exactly what I wanted very flavorful, nice and hot. Definitely recommend. The baked chicken I was worried would not be that tasty as I hadn't been impressed with my other options in Paris during my trip, but this did not disappoint. Very flavorful and delicious. I ended the evening with a crème brûlée, which was so good I had to stop my myself from finishing it all. if you are in the area, definitely give this place a try.
Had a lunch here whilst on a walking tour, and it really made a lovely diversion from the hustle outside. Servers were very efficient, note lunch is strictly served from midday. Food was amazing, beautifully presented and faster than we expected. The atmosphere is a mixture between Library/Museum and funky hipster bar, with quirky displays of Lego model, portraits of the Masters on the walls, and mixed level seating.
Dinner was excellent! Was seated immediately at 8:30PM on a Saturday. The service was fantastic and the dishes were even better. Special mention to: onion soup, escargot, and creme brulee. The chicken was juicy, the beef tartare was plentiful, and the steak was cooked nicely medium rare (albeit a bit chewy). Fries were great!
Café de la Régence offers a wonderful experience with a great location and traditionally prepared French cuisine. It's a fantastic spot for people-watching and enjoying classic dishes. I highly recommend starting with the Charcuterie Board. It was generous, featuring a great selection of high-quality cured meats and patés, perfectly complemented by cornichons and excellent crusty bread. It’s ideal for sharing and soaking in the bistro ambiance. The Onion Soup here is a must-try. It was served piping hot, boasting a deep, rich, and slightly sweet broth, loaded with tender caramelized onions and crowned with a thick layer of gratinéed cheese. It provided the ultimate French comfort. To finish, the Crème Brûlée was spot on. The custard was smooth, creamy, and infused with vanilla, topped with a brittle, perfectly torched sugar crust. It was the flawless, satisfying conclusion to a wonderful Parisian meal. Café de la Régence is a charming spot that executes these French staples with skill and quality.
